Dennis Evans works in a wide range of media as he explores the beginnings and interpretations of language. He crosses all cultures and symbols -setting letters, numbers, international symbols and ancient alphabets in etched glass, print and encaustic.

Originally a science major, Evans has that unquenchable thirst for categorizing and exploring the origins of all things. He organizes the tools and symbols of language in various assemblages and jolts our thinking into an examinations of levels of communication.

Evans was born and resides in Washington State, where he received his Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts.  He has exhibited throughout the country and is in museum collections such as the Metropolitan Museum, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Portland Art Museum, The Seattle Art Museum and theTacoma Art Museum to name a few.
He was included in the Whitney Biennial in 1978 and since then has shown extensively throughout the United States.
